Position Overview: Senior System Developer - Digitaliseringsdirektoratet (Digdir)

Location: Oslo or Leikanger, Norway

Project Purpose:

• Increase capacity for the eFormidling product team to realize necessary measures in the period 2025-2026, including tasks from the product backlog involving both new development and management of existing solutions.

​

Key Technical Requirements:

• Experience with server-side Java development of components with high security, availability, and performance requirements.

• Experience with general backend Java development based on the Spring framework.

• Experience working with DevOps methodology.

• Experience developing backend services with high availability and uptime requirements.

• Knowledge of message exchange.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Essential Qualifications:

• Senior system developers with at least 5 years of experience in developing Java-based web solutions.

• Must be able to perform the assistance with 100% availability throughout the assignment period.

• Must have good proficiency in Norwegian, both written and spoken, at a minimum level of B2 according to the CEFR.

Work Environment:

• The internal development teams are distributed across multiple locations, primarily based in Leikanger and some in Oslo. The consultants must be able to work structured, independently, and have good collaboration skills in a distributed development team. Some travel between office locations is expected.

​

Contract Details:

• ​Position size: 100% with a start date between May 1 and May 15.

• Duration and options:

  • Consultant 1: 8 months (May-Dec 2025) with options for 6 months + 6 months (2026).

  • Consultant 2: 4 months (May-Aug 2025) with options for 4 months (Sep-Dec 2025) and 6 months + 6 months (2026).
